The major features of Metabolic Syndrome include

  • High Triglycerides.
  • Low HDL (Good Cholesterol).
  • High Blood Sugar.
  • High Blood Pressure.









Increased waist circumference is the most important and independent determinant of Metabolic Syndrome.

For South Asian population waist circumference ≥ 90 cm in men and ≥ 80 cm in women is a risk factor.
